Schiller Institute Seminar: Stop the Murder of Afghanistan

On Jan. 17, the Schiller Institute organized an emergency webinar on the unspeakably tragic situation in Afghanistan, where 23 million people are threatened with starvation, while the Western powers, beginning with the United States, continue to block effective aid and reconstruction. The event was opened by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, who presented her initiative for saving lives, called “Operation Ibn Sina”. Other participants included Ray McGovern, a co-founder of the VIPS; Dr. Shah Mehrabi, member of the Board of Governors of the Afghanistan Central Bank; former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders, a founder of the Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites; Graham Fuller, a former CIA official and Islamic scholar; Marcia Merry Baker, who heads the agricultural desk of Executive Intelligence Review; and Dr. Matin Baraki, from the Center for Near and Middle East Studies at Institute for Political Science of Philipps University of Marburg, Germany.
