Stepping Back from the Brink of Nuclear Annihilation

After enthusiastically announcing on Oct. 16, that he would soon be holding a summit with Russian President Putin in Budapest (cf. SAS 43/25), U.S. President Trump made known on Oct. 22 that the plan was off the table, and that the United States would impose new sanctions on Russian oil companies.
